A number of East Hills residents presented at a public hearing held by the Town of Colonie on June 7th regarding the proposed Loudon Hills East housing development at 120 Spring Street Rd.
The specific concerns included the following:
* removal of mature trees behind homes on Shelbourne Dr. and Harvester Ct.
* water runoff affecting homes on Guilder Ct.
* additional traffic on East Hills Blvd.
* potential removal of landscaping of homes adjacent to a new sidewalk on Spring St. Rd.
* proposed use of the toxic waste portion of the land being subdivided
* enforceability of covenants
The project is now scheduled for reconsideration at the July 12th meeting of the planning board with the expectation that it will be approved if concerns of the Department of Environmental Conservation are resolved and the landscape plan requested by the board is acceptable.* water runoff affecting homes on Guilder Ct.
