Farewell, East Hills

As some of you may know, my husband and I are returning to Austin after 4 years in East Hills. So this is goodbye.

I have very much enjoyed volunteering on the HOA's board of directors for 3 1/2  years, as well as bringing our neighborhood into the digital age by constructing your East Hills website nearly 3 years ago. Since then, our site has had tens of thousands of page views and has been used by those looking for area homes and preparing to move here. It has also been used as a model by other homeowners' associations and has hopefully been useful to you, our residents.

The blog is now in Bill Reynolds' hands, so I expect you will see some changes over time. Bill formed our neighborhood's social committee late last year, and managing the website fits well with that role. I will make myself available to help with the site on occasion, even after I've left the area.

I encourage you to consider volunteering with your homeowners association, as it is a rewarding pursuit and you have the pleasure of meeting others who live here.
