EAST HILLS
NEIGHBORS TO ATTEND
THE BOSTON
POPS AT TANGLEWOOD
Sunday July 13, 2014 at 2:30 p.m.
It just
isn’t summer without at least one trip to the Berkshires!
Come join
your neighbors for lunch and a relaxing afternoon listening to the world class
music of THE BOSTON POPS ORCHESTRA with conductor Keith Lockhart and vocalist
Jason Alexander (George Costanza of Seinfeld).
They will be performing selections from the Music Man, Pippin and
Merrily We Roll Along.
Tanglewood,
is located in Lenox, Massachusetts and is a 50-60 minute drive from our
neighborhood. Directions can be provided
and carpooling is encouraged. This can
be a bring-your-own-lunch or snacks to share or we can arrange to purchase subs
and cookies from Bella Napoli before we depart at 12 noon from East Hills.
All are
welcome, including adults and children.
The tickets can be purchased at the front gate windows for the
lawn. Therefore, if it rains and you
wish to cancel, there is no problem. You
can also purchase tickets for inside the shed.
The lawn tickets are $20 each but the shed is substantially more. Please consult the Tanglewood.org website for
specific ticket prices.
Those who
are interested are asked to call Mary Robinson (782-4971) so we can know how
much lawn to rope off for our group. We
will have some balloons identifying our group locations. You will need to bring your own lawn chairs
and any size is acceptable there, as well as wine. It is a very nice lawn and not as restrictive
as SPAC.
The
concerts usually run about two hours, so you can expect to arrive back home by
6:00 p.m.
Please
email or call Mary if you and your family plan to attend. Mary Robinson can be reached at 782-4971 or
marytr19@yahoo.com
