Request EHHOA Board Approval for a Change/Improvement

Thank you for requesting approval for your change or improvement.

This form is used to request board approval for changes made to the exterior of your property, including additions, pools, fences, solar collectors, sheds, or major landscaping projects.  You'll also need to request approval for other changes that might disturb your neighbors.  This request will be forwarded immediately for review.  If you have supporting drawings or documentation, please let us know.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST NOT PROCEED WITH YOUR CHANGE OR IMPROVEMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED WRITTEN CONSENT FROM THE EAST HILLS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION.

You should ensure that your contractor has obtained any necessary building permits or approvals, but the primary responsibility for ensuring that all necessary approvals and permissions have been granted rests with you, the homeowner.

All changes must comply with the EHHOA covenants and architectural standards.  The nature and complexity of your request, and our ability to reach you by phone or e-mail, will determine how long it will take for approval.  We will aim to acknowledge your request within 48 hours of your submission and this will be passed to the chair of the Architectural Commitee for review. Any approval or rejection will be provided to you in writing.

We will aim to complete the review of your submission within 2 WEEKS of the original submission of your approval request.  If for any reason it is not possible to make a decision within this time, perhaps because of the need for further information, we will advise you of an estimated date when we would hope to give you the necessary decision.

If you have received consent for your request, then please advise the chair of the Arcitectural Commitee, if you decide not to proceed with the change or improvement within ONE YEAR of your original approval, because you may need to resubmit your request, if circumstances and details have changed.

If your request has been rejected by the Architectural Commitee, then you have the right to appeal to the full East Hills Homeowners Association board, who will then adjudicate upon the decision. You will be given the right to make a written submission, or to attend the board meeting in person.

If you proceed with a change or improvement before a decision has been reached then the full board will consider your application and may consider: retrospective approval, a fine, removal, or some other appropriate remedy.

If you require any advice and guidance submitting this form, or you need further information before you proceed, please email us for assistance to easthillsblogmaster@gmail.com
